PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a prescribed house without performing special operations by arranging a receiving part outside the house to receive the operation status of electric appliances in the house and displaying a safety level, based on the received situations. SOLUTION: This life monitor system consists of an electrical appliance 1 and a centralized control part 2 installed in a house to be monitored and a receiving part 3 installed outside the house. The product 1 and the control part 2 are installed in a house where aged parents live, while the receiving part 3 is installed in a house their child lives so that only the prescribed house can be monitored. An electrical lamp line 4 in the house as a means connecting the product 1 and the part 2 is used as a signal transmission line, and a normal cable telephone line 5 connected through an exchange is used as a means for connecting the control part 2 and the receiving part 3. A radio portable telephone line can also be used. The receiving part 3 receives the information on the electrical appliances 1 transmitted from the house to be monitored and shows a safety level, based on an operation situation by analyzing the information.
