PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal driving device permitting to reduce costs and realize miniaturization. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal controller 12 has a CPU interface 20 receiving a signal from CPU 11, a ROM controller 30 which receives a control signal (a) consisting of a command signal and an address signal from the CPU interface 20, and reads a monochrome image data stored in a ROM 13, a DRAM controller 40 which receives the control signal (a), with a DRAM 14 controlled, and receives an output from the ROM controller 30, and an LCD driver controller 50 which receives data from the DRAM 14 via the DRAM controller 40. The liquid crystal controller has a data color expanding part 33 in the ROM controller 20, and an image signal (1 bit) of each dot from the ROM 13 is expanded by passing through a data color expanding part 33.
