PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the flow of the entire stage of PDP production from being obstructed and to rapidly and easily confirm the content of ID of each base plate by providing an ID code as information for controlling a production stage on an end face. SOLUTION: An ID code 120 as the information for controlling the production stage is provided on an end face 115. The ID code is a two-dimensional ID code having a segment symbol for reading. Since the ID code 120 is provided on the end face 115 of a base plate 110, the ID code 120 on the end face 115 is viewed or read by a specified scanner 160 in a state where the base plate (glass base plate) 110 is put in a box for keeping (case) 150, so that the contents of the ID are confirmed. As the 10 code 120, the two-dimensional ID code is desirable in terms of the degree of freedom in the angle of the scanner in the case of reading, and the ID code where the contents of the ID are hardly grasped or where the contents of the ID are easily ruptured is desirable in terms of keeping the secrecy of the contents of the ID.
