CONTROLLING HOST COMPUTER AND RECORDING MEDIUM RECORDING ITS PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a control system reducing labor for adding a new programmable logic controller(PLC). SOLUTION: A common network interface part 71 in a controlling host computer 7 included in a control system 1 sends data to be sent to a PLC 3 to a graphic operation panel 5 through a common network 6 based on an instruction from a DDE server part 76 for communicating with a user processing part 72a by a procedure defined by an operating system. The panel 5 executes the protocol conversion of the received data if necessary and then transfers the processed data to the PLC 3 through a private network 4. Since it is unnecessary to change the DDE server part 76 even when a new PLC 3 is added, labor can be reduced as compared with conventional technology essentially requiring to change both the contents of the panel 5 and the host computer 7.
