PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction jointing device and a friction jointing method capable of performing jointing at high quality and high efficiency. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a pressing means 34 for pressing a jointing tool T in a manner to pressurize and contact with a jointed member P, and a pressing force control means 36 for controlling the pressing force to be approximately constant. The pressing means 34 is an air cylinder or the like, and the pressing force control means 36 is a pressure reducing valve of a constant secondary pressure type for controlling the pressure supplied to the air cylinder or the like.
