PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the movement of operator's viewing point and to improve the inspection efficiency by constituting an inspection method in such a manner that inspection is carried out while a liquid crystal panel for inspection and a back light are simultaneously regulated in angle by an angle regulating means. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel 15 for inspection is positioned and held in a mounting section 14 for the liquid crystal panel for inspection. The mounting angle of the liquid crystal panel 15 for inspection is arbitrary selectable by rotating a rotary knob 12 and rotating the mounting section 14 for the liquid crystal panel for inspection forward and backward. The mounting section 14 for the liquid crystal panel for inspection is provided with fittings 22 for holding the liquid crystal panel 15 for inspection and the back light 29 on the inspection surface of a pedestal 21. The method is so constituted that the inspection is carried out while the liquid crystal panel 15 for inspection and the back light 29 are simultaneously regulated in angle by the angle regulating means composed of the rotary knob 12, etc. Accordingly, since the measurement with the viewing point fixed is made possible without moving the upper body of the operator, the inspection efficiency can be improved.
