SUSPENDED MATTER DISCHARGE PUMP AND DRAINAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure removal of suspended maters in effluent with less workers and discharge of the effluent. SOLUTION: A drainage 3 provided with a screen 32 for removing suspended matters 56 and a drain pump 5 for draining effluent from which the suspended matters are removed comprises a jet pump 16 for sucking effluent containing the suspended matters 56 from a suction part 18 provided upstream of the screen 32 and discharging it from a nozzle 22 provided at the discharge side of the drain pump 5 while bypassing the drain pump 5, the nozzle 22 being provided in a water stream at the discharge side of the drain pump 5 under static pressure lower than the static pressure of a suction port in the suction part 18.
