PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize a load of a computer by processing at least one of driving quantity and a controlled variable of a performing driving method of a driving sequence by a first time pattern, and processing at least one of driving quantity and a controlled variable of an unperformed driving method by a second time pattern. SOLUTION: When a system is started, first of all, a controller 16 judges, whether or not combustion operation BA1 (for example, stratified charge combustion operation) is performed, and when it is judged as YES, a calculation on driving quantity or target quantity of the combustion operation BA1 is made by a judging or estimating method of a sensor signal. While, when it is judged as NO, whether or not to adjust the same combustion operation BA1 is judged, and when a judgement here is YES, driving quantity or target quantity of the combustion operation BA1 is calculated. While, when it is judged as NO, a similar inquiry and a calculation on combustion operation BA2 (for example, homogeneous combustion operation) is made. The driving quantity is determined by the other combustion operation method at transitional operation time.
