PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut gel in the state of a slice with a cutter provided at the upper end of a container by pushing up the gel through the bottom plate of the container at the time of using the matter in the container housing the bar-shaped gel. SOLUTION: This container is formed of a cylindrical barrel 1 open in both of its upper/lower surfaces, the bottom plate 11 fitted in the state of being capable of being pushed up to the inside of its lower part and a member with a cutter fitted to the upper part of the cylindrical barrel. As for the member with the cutter, in a holding cylinder upper half cylindrical part projecting toward the upper side of the cylindrical barrel, the rear half cylindrical part 24b is separated from a holding cylinder lower half cylindrical part 22, which is fitted to the outer surface of the trunk 1, and the front half cylindrical part 24a of the upper half cylindrical part, both ends of the front/rear half cylinder parts 24a, 14b are connected at their one ends with a small-thickness hinge 25 and other ends are made freely attachable and detachable with an engaging means. In addition, the cutter 27, which vertically halves the inner surface of the holding cylinder upper half cylindrical part to clog is projectingly provided from the inner surface of the part 24b to make the part 24b rotatable with the hinge 25 in a center.
