PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a connector possible to be easily installed or mounted without using epoxy or an adhesive by constituting the connector in such a manner that a pin is set at a direction orthogonal to the axis regulated by a slug and that the pin fits to the slug when the pin exists nearly flush with a casing. SOLUTION: The end of the slug 82 is chamfered at a place where an optical fiber is received from a barrel extension part 66 to facilitate the entry of the fiber to a passage 84. Similarly, the end of the ferrule 64 is chamfered in the joint part to the slug 82 to assist the guidance of the fiber into the aperture of the passage. The opening 88 extends through the barrel 78 to enable the pins 72-72 to be fitted to the slug 82 in line with the opening of the casing 62 holding the pins 72-72. The rapid and simple installation of the quick connection optical fiber connector 60 on site is made possible without using the adhesive or the epoxy by the unique operation of the pin 72 and the slug 82 according to such constitution.
