<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide display part opening/closing type electronic equipment whose thickness is further reduced even when a high stroke type panel switch is used in order to turn on/off a power supply for a display device when a display part is not used. SOLUTION: In the case of using a notebook type personal computer(PC) only for communiction or the like, a display part 3 is closed because input and display are unnecessary. When a latch 4 formed on the display part 3 is locked on a locking part, one end of a lever 6 is depressed. The lever 6 is rotated around a supporting point and driven so as to depress a switch knob 5a of a panel switch 5 on the other end of the lever 6. Thereby the switch 5 is driven and a power supply for a liquid crystal display device is turned off. Since the size of the panel switch 5 occupying the height direction of the PC is only L2 in the width direction, the L2 is sharply reduced as compared with conventional size L1 in a stroke direction.</p> |
