PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily cope with a change of size of an article such as an article to be packed, in a packaging device provided with a chain conveyer wherein a front hook and a rear hook catching an article such as package box from back-forth in a carrying direction are installed on two parallel conveyer chains respectively. SOLUTION: This device comprises a measurement setting means setting the measurement of spaces between front hooks 53a, 53b, 63, 81 and rear hooks 57a, 57b, 62, 80; a first and a second servomotors 31, 32 driving two conveyer chains respectively; a rotating difference determining means determining the difference in a rotating amount from a datum point of these motors; and a motor control means comparing a measurement set by the measuring means and the difference of the rotating amount determined by the rotating difference determining means, and adjusting a relative velocity of the first and the second servomotors 31, 32 until spaces between the front hooks 53a, 53b, 63, 81 and the rear hooks 57a, 57b, 62 of each conveyer chain A, B, C become the measurements set by the measurement setting means.
