PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a ferrite material for power source having high fracture toughness and an improved mechanical strength can be manufactured. SOLUTION: In the baking process of a method for manufacturing ferrite material for power source which is performed after a mixed and calcined raw material is granulated and molded by adding a binder to the material, the temperature rise to the retention starting temperature from temperature for finalizing the binder removal is made at a rate of temperature rise of 250-400 deg.C/hr and the temperature rise from 1,200 deg.C is made under a partial oxygen pressure of <=5%. In addition, the ferrite material manufactured by this method is composed of an Mn-Zn ferrite composed mainly of 30-42 mol% MnO, 4-19 mol% ZnO, and the balance Fe2O3. |
