摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR system capable of meeting a 2004 emission regulation and maintaining high thermal efficiency with a high EGR rate. SOLUTION: This system has a main power diesel engine 11 provided with a turbo supercharger 13 and a subsidiary power engine 18 connected thereto for supplying exhaust recirculated gas, whereby the amount of exhaust gas from the subsidiary power engine 18 is regulated in response to the load of the diesel engine 11 and the amount of intake air for controlling an exhaust gas recirculation rate. Otherwise, it has a main power diesel engine 11 provided with a turbo supercharger having the maximum capability at a higher speed than the maximum torque rotating speed of the engine and a subsidiary engine 18 connected thereto for supplying exhaust recirculated gas, whereby a displacement supercharger installed in series to the turbo supercharger is driven by the subsidiary power engine and the amount of exhaust gas from the subsidiary power engine is regulated in response to the load of the diesel engine and the amount of intake air at this time for controlling an exhaust gas recirculation rate.
