PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable display of a 'residual time' by placing a pilot lamp at a place on a podium of a lecture hall in which a lamp is not visible for participants by providing a light source having high intensity and a pilot lamp receiving the light, providing a reflection plate and a semitransparent display plate in which display characters are printed on its outer surface inside the pilot lamp, and turning on and off display characters of the display plate in accordance with turning on and off of a light source remotely emitted. SOLUTION: A transparent window 4 consisting of a plano-concave lens or the like in which a laser beam 3 of a laser lamp 2 is diffused and transmitted is provided at the side face of a box-shaped pilot lamp 1, and a reflection plate 5 which is made of a material such as aluminum foil forcedly crumpled and reflecting irregularly is provided inside the pilot lamp 1. A laser beam 3 is irregularly reflected by the reflection plate 5 tilted approximately 45 degrees, a semitransparent display plate 6 provided at the other side face of the pilot lamp 1 is irradiated with irregularly reflected light, and display characters 'residual time' or the like are displayed. By these constitution and form, display characters of the pilot lamp 1 are turned on and off in accordance with turning on and off of a light source remotely emitted.
