PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a work from being scratched or deformed during the traveling of the work by providing a unit for detecting the loose insertion of the work with a roller which comes into contact with the tip of the work and after detection, moving a work retaining member to a next step and further, setting back the detection unit to its home position. SOLUTION: A work 3 is inserted, in a protruding fashion, into a core 2 on a work retaining member 1, while a roller 5 made of a metal such as a stainless steel is arranged in a freely rotating manner, at the tip of a forwardly/ backwardly moving device 4 for detecting the loose insertion of a work and is made movable forward/backward with the help of a cylinder 6. Next the device 4 for detecting the loose insertion of the work is advanced over a specified distance to the work retaining member 1 at a standstill at an advance position. In this case, the roller 5 comes into contact with the work 3 to detect the looseness of the work 3. After this detection, the core 2 is made to ascend by a robot and the detection device 4 proceeds to a next step. In this case, the roller 5 in contact with the work 3 rotates to avoid the casual scratching and deforming of the work 3. |
