PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera appropriately controlling the storage time in the case of performing focus detection by adopting an auxiliary light in the camera equipped with a multipoint focus detection means. SOLUTION: In the case of the control of the storage time for focus detection without the auxiliary light, the longest storage time is decided in accordance with the storage time by a sensor 101 which completes the control of storage operation first, and in the case of the control of the storage time for the focus detection in a state where the auxiliary light is projected, the longest storage time is decided regardless of the storage time by the sensor 101 which completes the control of the storage operation first. |
