PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an effect of deformation and ensure the positional accuracy when joining supporting structures by forming of a square pipe a supporting structure which houses constituent elements comprising a digital copying machine, and dividing the supporting structures into a plurality of units. SOLUTION: Constituent elements comprising a digital copying machine, for example, a first supporting structure 100 housing and supporting a picture formation process part, a fixation part, etc., and a second supporting structure 110 housing and supporting constituent elements for a sheet supply part to be assembled as necessary, are formed by combining square pipes, respectively. To combine the first and second supporting structures 100 and 110, square pipes 103 and 104 crossing orthogonally those 111a and 112a respectively are joined on the joint surfaces 107 and 108. Thus, a deformation or twisting between the supporting structures can be prevented.
