PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain communications equipment which is provided with a voice detection function and in which wrong closing due to external noise is difficult to occur. SOLUTION: This communication equipment detects prescribed sounds from external sound fetched by a microphone 27 through a CPU 32, while receiving a call out signal from a line 64 and automatically closes the line, based on detection results of the CPU 32. In this case, the communication equipment has an EEPROM 36 which stores the change pattern of a sound pressure level of a sound keyword that is subjected to sound input and is registered by the microphone 27, sets the upper and lower limits of the effective range of sound pressure level deviation with the CPU 32 by every time division and detects external sound pattern which substantially belongs to the effective range with the CPU 32.
