PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous agitating sterilizer which can supply powder and grain with reduced bacteria by continuously sterilizing the powder and grain efficiently without deteriorating the original quality, such as flavor, taste, etc., of the material. SOLUTION: In this sterilizer a heat sterilization processing device 2, a steam isolation device 3 and a cooling device 4 directly connected in that order, and each of the devices 2, 3 and 4 is driven by at least one drive means. The heat sterilization processing device 2 sterilizes the powder and grain agitating and conveying the material in the atmosphere consisting of a mixed gas of steam and non-condensable gas controlled at a prescribed temperature and pressure. The steam isolation device 3 isolates steam from the heated/sterilized powder and grain while the material is being conveyed. The cooling device 4 cools down the powder and grain from which steam was isolated while the material is agitated/conveyed in the pressurized atmosphere of the non-condensable gas, then discharges the material to outside. |
