PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the function of an air bag system in a gas generator using inflammable gas. SOLUTION: In this gas generator A1, at least one of pressure vessels 11, 12 closed with a pressure partition wall 3 is movably accommodated in a casing 2. The casing 2 is provided with a gas blowoff port 5 communicated with the inside and outside of the casing 2, and accommodates an elastic body 6 compressed by the backward movement of the pressure vessel 11. The pressure vessels 11, 12 to be charged with pressurized inflammable gas are provided with ignition means 4. The pressure vessel 11 is reciprocated in the blowoff process of gas to obtain a gas blowoff characteristic for changing the expanding function of an air bag. |
