PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of a nursery attendant by providing a device capable of securely sucking residual substance which is light and compact as a whole body by use of a small vacuum pump to be easily transportable, and of which operability is improved. SOLUTION: A vacuum pump A and a suction head 60 are connected to each other through suction pipes 21 and 25 having a discarded tank B in the midway. A restricting means 61 to restrict a disposal passage is provided in the disposal passage from a tip 60a of the suction head 60 to a suction port (b) of the discarded tank B. The suction head 60 is inserted into the oral cavity, the vacuum pump A is driven, and residual substance in the oral cavity is sucked to be fed into the discarded tank B to clean the inside of the oral cavity. When the residual substance cannot be sucked by normal suction force, the restricting means 61 is used to restrict the disposal passage for increasing negative pressure in the suction pipes 21 and 25, and the restriction is then releasted, so the residual substance can be sucked at once by the increased negative pressure.
