PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passage dividing pipe excellent in heat resisting strength. SOLUTION: A front pipe 5 is composed of an outer pipe 7 and an inner pipe 10. The inner pipe 10 is provided with a pipe body 11, a partition plate 12 forming two exhaust gas passages R1, R2 by partitioning the interior of the pipe body 11, laser welded beads 13, 13 formed by laser welding flanges 12a, 12a provided on the partition plate 12 to the pipe body 11, and covers 14, 14 covering the circumference of laser welded beads 13, 13 on the end of the upper stream of the exhaust gas. The circumference of the laser welded bead 13 is not directly influenced by high temperature exhaust gas because it is covered with the cover part 14 and a small diameter part and the circumferential heat of the leser welded bead 13 escapes towards the cover 14 and the small diameter part so it is difficult to be influenced by heat.
