PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image reader which enables speedy replacement of a print body which gives a mark onto a document when needed. SOLUTION: This image reader equipped with a means which prints the mark indicating that a document has been read on the document is equipped with a print body 15a which prints the mark on the document and a print body storage part 2 which stores a standby print body 15b for the print body 15a. Furthermore, the print body storage part 2 is equipped with a storage hole 2a, in which the standby print body 15b is fit and two groove parts 2b provided at oppositely facing positions of the peripheral part of the storage hole 2a.
