PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sizes and occupying spaces of the operating sections of a transporter. SOLUTION: A transporter 11 is provided with a drive unit 13 on the bottom face a box-shaped wagon 12 and a housing section 14 on the rear surface of the wagon 12. Operating sections 15 and 16 are attached to the left and right top corners of the rear surface of the wagon 12. Force sensors 35 and 36 composed of thin film-like piezoelectric bodies are stuck to the surface of the operating section 15. Since the sensors 35 and 36 are extremely thin, the operating section 15 is reduced in size, thickness, and weight. A controller aboard the transporter 11 makes a power assist by transmitting a driving force to a driving wheel 21 by controlling the drive of a driving motor based on operation signals outputted from the operating sections when the release of the braking by means of a braking mechanism 27 is detected. |
