PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce crease by providing a negative pressure medium suppressing input unit (hereinafter, referred to medium suppressing unit) for controlling a medium with a negative surface on the surface thereby preventing unintended alteration of positioning. SOLUTION: A medium suppressing system is provided with twelve overdrive wheels 340 spaced apart uniformly along a scanning axis (Y-axis) and imparting tension equally to each part of a medium 130. The overdrive wheel 340 may be a single wheel or a plurality of wheels touching rigidly each other constituting one wide wheel. A second recess is spaced apart from both an adjacent element, i.e., another second recess, and the overdrive wheel 340 by means of a rib. Risk of creating a crease possibly spreading toward a print area 450 can be reduced using the rib.
