<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic brake capable of easily assembling an excitation device while leakage of magnetic flux is prevented of a permanent magnet. SOLUTION: An excitation device 2 holds a permanent magnet 6 between a disk part 4a of an outer side yoke member 4 and a disk part 5a of an inner side yoke member 5, and a demagnetizing coil 7 is received in an annular groove 2a partitioned by a cylinder part of the outer side yoke member 4, cylinder part of the inner side yoke member 5, and the disk part 5a of the inner side yoke member 5. A magnetic shielding member 8 made of non-magnetic material is fitted over to an internal peripheral surface of the disk part 5a in the inner side yoke member 5 from an internal peripheral surface of the disk part 4a in the outer side yoke member 4. Leakage of magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 6 to a side of a rotary shaft 10 is prevented by the magnetic shielding member 8. Each yoke member 4, 5 and the permanent magnet 6 can be concentrically assembled by the magnetic shielding member 8.</p> |
