VARIABLE POWER PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing processing to paper especially limited in size while advantageously performing filing processing and to arrange a document wherein pages different in paper size or printing direction are included to a desired printing size in a variable power printing method performing contraction/ magnification processing to printing data supplied from a host machinery. SOLUTION: The printing data formed according to the application of a host computer is subjected to variable power designation according to the program stored in an ROM 5 to be outputted to a printer 2. Herein, the host computer 1 performs variable power processing such as contraction or magnification according to a printing size or a printing direction. In the printer 2, the printing data subjected to variable power designation is once stored in a buffer 21 and subjected to analytical processing by an analytical part 22 and subjected to variable power processing designated by an image variable power/rotation processing part 25. By this constitution, printing processing can be performed according to the variable power designation set on the side of the host computer 1.
