PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool for a fishing line, which can be easily produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: This spool is composed of a spool body 1 and a fishing line end clamping section 2, the former having a winding section 5 composed of a body 3 and brims 4. The clamping section 2 has a tongue-shaped projection 21, monolithically formed when the spool body 1 is formed. The projection 21, flexible in the axial direction, is provided sideward around the periphery of a reinforcing rib 34 on the spool body 1, to clamp the end T1 of the fishing line T between the projection 21 and reinforcing rib 34, when the fishing line T is wound on the winding section 5.
