PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera where one memory circuit is shared for the camera without the need for addition of other memory circuit so as to prevent cost increase, a high clock frequency for digital signal processing is not needed more than required and power consumption is not increased. SOLUTION: A rate conversion circuit 101 at a pre-stage of a digital signal processing circuit to which a video signal is received is used to convert number of digital data consisting of video signals within a prescribed period into less number of data represented by a simple integer ratio and an output side of digital signal processing converts the data again into original video signal data whose number is more than the number of the converted data. Thus, the digital camera is realized where a memory circuit 206 is shared without setting an operating frequency of the memory circuit 206 to be very high, spurious radiation is less and the cost is reduced.
