PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bell striking device which is capable of producing clear and beautiful timbres by stopping the vibration of bell bodies and halting overlapping reverberations. SOLUTION: The bell striking device 1 which generates sounds by striking the bell bodies 2 is provided with vibration stopping means 5 provided with attaching and detaching parts 51 which are installed in the bell bodies 2, are expanded and reduced by the permeation of air and come into contact with the bell bodies 2 at the time of expansion. The bell striking device is otherwise provided with the attaching and detaching parts 51 which are moved by solenoids.
