PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the security of data and a program by limiting the operation to respective display means from a host device for every hierarchy correspondingly to an inputted password. SOLUTION: Password are set correspondingly to the level of an operator, and respective display devices A2, B2 and C2 permit an operation at the levels corresponding to the passwords. Namely, the passwords are inputted from an input means 20 and are transmitted to the respective display devices A2, B2 and C2 at the time of log-in being the start time of a series of operations. In the respective display devices A2, B2 and C2, a password collation means 31 collates the transmitted password with the previously registered password, and permits the subsequent input operations to the operation corresponding to the password, namely, the level of the operator. When a system is once logged off and a series of operations terminate, the password is collated again at the time of next log-in.
