METHOD FOR CONNECTING VIDEO SERVER AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY SELECTING VIDEO SERVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excess load on a video server by eliminating the need for a user of a terminal to select a server with respect to the video server connection method and the video server automatic selection device where video data are served via a connection type network. SOLUTION: The video server automatic selection device 1 connecting to a network 3 and having a management table 10 and a request processing section 14 in its inside is provided to the network 3. When a user terminal 4 connects to the video server automatic selection device 1 via the network 3 to request video contents, the video server automatic selection device 1 uses the management table 10 to detect a plurality of video servers storing the contents on request and identifies a video server with a small load by using information denoting a load state of each video server stored in the management table 10 and sets up a connection between the user terminal 4 and the selected video server by using its address via the network 3.
