PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture display device which is excellent in dynamic resolution characteristic, unnoticeable in chromatic blur in a moving edge part, and capable of displaying a high quality moving picture. SOLUTION: In a picture display device displaying a picture with gradation by sub-fields, plural sub-fields in one field period are arranged so that plural pieces of groups consisting of the arrangement part of increasing order in luminous weight allocated to each sub-field and that of decreasing order are contained, and each group is made to contain a sub-field with a maximum luminous weight, and each sub-field with the maximum luminous weight is arranged approximately at intervals of 1/2 field. |
