摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the brightness of a display screen by enhancing the utilizing efficiency of lights from a light source. SOLUTION: A dichroic mirror array 20 is installed in between a lens array 10 and a liquid crystal panel 30. Each lens in the lens array 10 diaphragms an incident light to one third to make it to be incident on one mirror among one group (consisting of three mirrors) in the dichroic mirror array 20. The dichroic mirror array 20 is constituted of respective mirrors corresponding to respective pixels in the liquid crystal panel 30. In the array 20, a first mirror slectively makes an R light transmit to the side of the panel 30 and a second mirror slectively makes a G light transmit to the side of the panel 30 and a third mirror slectively makes a B light transmit to the side of the panel 30.
