PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light deflecting scanner capable of restraining a temperature rise of image-forming element and improving the vibration-proofing operation. SOLUTION: A light deflector 3 being the main cause of heat generation in the light deflecting scanner 101 is arranged on the outside of an optical box 1, so that the temperature rise of the image-forming element 5 is remarkably restrained. The optical box 1 is subdivided to be small, thereby, the distance between the fixed points of the optical box 1 is made short, and the vibration-proofing ability is improved. Furthermore, since the vibration of the light deflector 3 itself is prevented from being directly transmitted to the optical box, the vibration of the light deflector 3 itself transmitted to the element 5 is reduced.
