PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax duplicated processing in specific control while centralizing common control efficiently by connecting means for controlling relay of data communication and read out of image communicatively between a print data generation control section and the drive control section of print section. SOLUTION: A printer controller 2103 connected to a host computer 2104 controls a printer section 2001 generally and an engine controller 2002 performs sheet feed control and imaging control of a printer. An imaging section 2003 arranged with imaging members including a photosensitive body is also provided. Furthermore, a reader controller 106 is disposed in the printer section 2001 in order to process digital images outputted from an analog/digital converting means 104 and to control communication with a motor control means, the engine controller 2002 and a printer controller 2103. According to the arrangement, duplicated processing can be relaxed in specific control while centralizing common control efficiently.
