PURPOSE: A printer is provided to maintain a space distance which an image printed in sheet is established by controlling an initial position of writing an image written on a photographic sensitive belt by corresponding to a change of a rim of the sheet fed to a printing unit. CONSTITUTION: A printer is composed of a printing unit(10), a sheet feeder(30), a position detector(60) of a rim of the sheet and a light injecting controller(50). The printing unit(10) is consisted of a circulated photographic sensitive belt(14), plural rollers(11,12,13), a reset device(15), light injecting devices(16), light detectors(22), developers(17), a drier(18) and a transfer device(21). The sheet feeder(30) is consisted of a sheet feeding cassette(31) and plural transporting rollers(32). Also, the position detector(60) contains a source of light(61) and the light detector(62). The position detector(6) is established on a sheet transporting passage(34).
