PURPOSE: A method for controlling a re-access of modem automatically is provided to try a re-access if the re-access mode is enabled and error occurs, and quickly finish access by a clear-down if the re-access mode is not enabled. CONSTITUTION: If the re-access mode is enabled, automatically a re-access is tried. If the re-access mode is not enabled, automatically a clear-down is tried. Thereby, the method for controlling a re-access of modem reduces the time required to a re-access, and an effective connection operation is made.
