PURPOSE: An elevator type parking system is provided to operate pallets of respective parking chambers and to realize assembling efficiency improvement and production cost saving effects by installing single horizontal driving unit. CONSTITUTION: An elevator type parking system comprises: a main frame having a hoist way in the center and plural parking chambers in both sides of the hoist way; a lift(200) having a lift base(210) installed liftable in the hoist way and a vehicle support(220) placed onto the lift base; a pallet(300) installed in each story to load a vehicle; a lift driving unit for moving up and down the lift; and a pallet horizontal driving unit installed in the main frame to horizontally move the pallet to the hoist way from the parking chamber when the lift approaches a predetermined story. As the elevator type parking system needs single pallet horizontal driving unit, assembling efficiency is improved while production cost is saved. According to direct horizontal movement of the pallet without additional operation, time for entering and exiting a vehicle is reduced.
