METHOD OF CONTROLLING PERSONAL COMPUTER USING TELEPHONE NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method is to control personal computer using a telephone network, thereby performing collectively various functions provided by an ARS(Automatic Response System) server and a PPP(Point to Point Protocol) server at low cost. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling comprises the steps of: determining whether a call request signal applied from a transmitting-side telephone user or a PC user through a modem is a signal from a telephone or from a PC; outputting and transferring guidance voice to the transmitting-side telephone user such that functions set at a main frame is selected, when the call request signal is the signal from the telephone; inputting a function selection dial number from the transmitting-side telephone user and performing the function corresponding to the dial number; and connecting the PC of the transmitting-side PC user with a recipient-side PC user to use the recipient-side computer and to utilize PC communication network and internet.
