PURPOSE: An adapter for receiving a disk is provided to be thin by receiving 8CM disk in the adapter by using a separate holder, and to make the structure of the adapter simple since the extra connecting member for opening a shutter of 8CM disk cartridge is not needed. CONSTITUTION: An adapter for receiving a disk includes a body of a case shaped adapter(1) having an opened front, a disk holder(10) received the body of the adapter having a couple of supporting member for supporting a periphery of the disk, a door(20) preventing the disk holder(10) from separating by being mounted on a front aperture, and supporting units(11,11') supporting the door(20) to join and disjoin with the body of the adapter.
