PURPOSE: A sprue gripper is provided to reduce the producing and repairing cost and to have a big holing force. CONSTITUTION: Pistons move forward to be opposite to elastic force of opening springs(113,133) when air is supplied to air cylinder units(110,130) for holding a sprue tightly. Gripper plates(121,141) approaches to each other with connecting bars(112,132) and then holds the sprue tightly on a holding face. Therefore, the sprue is held without damage caused by a cam and without pressure loss. Then, a first electric contactor(122) and a second electric contactor(142) are contacted with the end of a first and a second metal bar and a pressurized spring reinforces the contact.
