METHOD FOR DESIGNING AN INTERLEAVER OF A TURBO CODE THROUGH EXCHANGING BITS HAVING ERROR POSSIBILITY

PURPOSE: A method for designing an interleaver of a turbo code through exchanging bits having error possibility is provided to maximize a capacity of the interleaver through exchanging bits, between the error tendency bits decided according to component codes of the turbo code. CONSTITUTION: A method for designing an interleaver of a turbo code through exchanging error tendency bits comprises the steps of: interleaving according to inputted signal order; detecting assembly of the bits having error possibility; and exchanging bits having error possibility bits according to a predetermined condition. A turbo decoder has to restore information which is not decoded in one MAP(Maximum A Posteriori) decoder, in the other MAP decoder. An interleaver has to be designed, so that a same error event can has a small hamming distance with information sequence in the one decoder, and can has a big hamming distance in the other decoder.
