PURPOSE: A method for automatically setting a current time of a selected area is provided to conveniently provide a current time of a selected area to a user. CONSTITUTION: In a method for automatically setting a current time of a selected area, a time information is first detected from digital cast signals(S103), then a current time of the selected area is generated by calculating a time difference between the a time of the selected area and the time information(S104). The generated current time is compared with an actual current time(S106), and if the generated current time is not identical to the actual current time, the current time is reset using the digital cast signals(S107). If the generated current time is identical to the actual current time, the time set is finished.
