MOBILE ELECTRODE PLATE FOR WEIGHT SENSING DEVICE OF MICROWAVE OVEN

PURPOSE: A mobile electrode plate for a weight sensing device of a microwave oven having compact size, able to be easily installed and able to maintain a certain restoring force despite of long time use is provided. CONSTITUTION: If a user puts food on a tray, the distance between a mobile electrode plate(300) and a fixed electrode plate(400) becomes close so that capacitance increases. Then an oscillation circuit(410) connected to the fixed electrode plate delivers high frequency signals according to the increased capacitance to a microcomputer(420). The microcomputer compares the high frequency signals to the predetermined data and judges the weight of the food on the tray after receiving the high frequency signals. The microcomputer feeds electric signals to a display installed on the front face of a microwave oven and makes the display indicate the time for irradiating microwave according to the weight of the food if the weight of the food is judged. If a user takes the food out of the tray, a rotary shaft(230) moves upward by the restoring force of the mobile electrode plate so that the capacitance is set up to the initial value.
