PURPOSE: A pager capable of transmitting/receiving data is provided to receive data and to store received data into a storage unit in itself and to download of the data by a computer, and to receive data through a telephone line by having a modem. CONSTITUTION: A pager capable of transmitting/receiving data comprises a data receiver(12), a RAM (Random Access Memory), an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(11), a communication port, a modem(20), an outer connection modem port, and a switch. The data receiver receives radio data. The RAM stores the data received by the data receiver. The LCD panel displays the data received to the data receiver. The communication port transmits the data stored in the RAM. The modem in itself receives data through a telephone line. The outer connection modem port connects the modem to the telephone line. The switch selects the data reception through the telephone line by the modem and the radio data reception, via the data receiver.
