PURPOSE: A device for horizontal driving of a turn table of an elevator type parking system is provided to be applied to an upper entrance type or a middle entrance type parking system wherein a hoist way and a parking chamber are installed even at a lower portion of a landing area. CONSTITUTION: In an elevator type parking system having lifts(210,220) liftingly installed in a hoist way in the center of a main frame(100) and a turn table for changing direction of a vehicle on a pallet or a landing area, a turn table horizontal driving device comprises: a turn table horizontal driving guide rail(450) installed at the bottom of a landing area; a turn table horizontal driving guide unit having a turn table horizontal guide roller(460) guided along the guide rail; and a turn table horizontal driving unit consisting of a drive motor(470) and a drive chain(480) moving a turn table horizontally. A vehicle entered in an advancing direction is exited in an advancing direction although an additional turn table is not installed at outside the landing area. While a lift descends for entering or exiting of a vehicle in a lower parking chamber, interference between the lift and the turn table is avoided. Therefore, the parking system is applied to an upper entrance type parking system of a lower entrance type parking system.
