BACTERIOLYSIS ENZYME YU 205 FOR BACTERIOLYZING PORPHYROMONAS GINGIVALIS AS CAUSATIVE BACTERIA OF PERIODONTITIS AND MICROORGANISM FOR PRODUCING SAME

PURPOSE: A bacteriolysis enzyme for bacteriolyzing Porphyromonas gingivalis as causative bacteria of periodontitis and microorganism for producing the same are provided which are separated from soil bacteria YU-1432(KFCC-11056) and can be applied to prevent and cure periodontal disease. CONSTITUTION: A microorganism, which produces new bacteriolysis enzyme different in physical and chemical aspects compared to the conventional bacteriolysis enzyme is separated from soil and identified as Bacillus subtilis. Purified enzyme having a yield of 22% and a purification degree of 522 times is obtained by purification processes such as acetone precipitation and cationic and anionic exchange resin. The microorganism is stable in the range of pH 6.0 to 11.0 and 0 to 40°C.
