PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a facsimile machine which corresponds to both a user who does not use high grade setting and a user utilizing complicated setting. SOLUTION: When an IC card 10 is connected to a storage device, the data of an expanded SRAM area in a FCU 1, where various setting data that can be selected by a user according to a card detection signal are stored are swapped with an SRAM area in the IC card 10, then the CPU of the FCU 1 is subjected to soft reset, set data in the IC card 10 is read, it is started as a user's unique mode when the set data match with an card ID number in a basic SRAM 31 in the FCU 1, and alarm display is performed on an operating part, when it is different. Data is written to the SRAM area of the IC card 10, when various setting is registered because it is started as a unique mode. Similarly, in an SAF storing image data such as an invoice, it is also possible to read and write to/from a flash ROM area in the IC card 10 by means of an IC card detection signal. |
